Quadruple D, The Sad Last Day!

Yesterday was the day we had to say goodbye to beautiful Greenville.  The day we had to say goodbye to our trip! Our great trip!!!!  We got up, not too early, took our time getting out, and then we had a long drive ahead of us.  In the morning, we had some delicious pancakes… they were out of this world!!! I don’t know how they were made, but they were good! We had breakfast and then sat and talked for a little bit, and that was fun! Then sadly, it was time to leave.  I didn’t want to, because I was having just so much fun!

We got on the road and my dad told us that we were going to go to this place called Graham Soda Shop!! I’ve been there before when we went to the Wilds Christian Camp, and it was amazing! This place is a family run business, so it is only one restaurant; it’s not anywhere else in this entire universe! We got there at about 2 o’clock, and I was really hungry by that point! But when we got there, it didn’t look like there were many cars parked outside, so my dad went and checked what time it was open. It said that it was closed on Sundays, and unfortunately we went on a Sunday. Too bad.

Me and my brother had spotted a place called the Cook-Out, and that sounded pretty good, so we went and checked it out. Well, you know we were sitting in that car forever, and we really wanted to get out and stretch!!!!  This Cook-Out place was kind of like Sonic, you sit in your car and eat… and there was no way that we were going to sit in our car and eat, so our hunt for a good restaurant was still going on! Sorry for that little glitch. I hadn’t finished my blog post and somehow it still got on my blog, so that’s not the end of it! I’m super sorry!!!! Here’s where you hear about my meal!! I went to Carvers on Elm. This isn’t a very KNOWN joint, but it wasn’t terrible food. Well, I didn’t want to say this, but it wasn’t very good! It made me even more sad once I took my first bite that we couldn’t go to Grahm Soda Shoppe!!! But the only thing that I was totally amazed about were the hush puppies!!! They were AMAZING!!!!! I loved them! I ate like TEN!!! I’m not kidding, guys! OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! But my cheeseburger tasted a little bit… and I need you guys to understand that I have had a ball pretending to be a food critic, so that’s why I’m saying this!!!… I thought that it had a hint of like a plastic flavor! I’m sorry if someone from Carvers on Elm reads this, but It’s a little true! Do I sound mean? I’m sorry if I do, but a food critics gotta do what a food critics gotta do!!! It’s true!!!! Anyway! That was my day, and the food really wasn’t THAT bad, but it wasn’t the best! And I don’t think that a special Food Network star named Guy went there, and I don’t think he ever will! Anyway, there you go! I miss my trip sooo much, and I really want to go back! I know that’s a place that I could go back to!! I really want to! Can’t wait until we go again! I want to go back for the food personally!!!! They have some of the best food ever! Really good places! One thing that I don’t like about my blog is that every time I blog about good food, I start to get really hungry! I think I’ll go get some cold chicken!!! Yummy!
Happy Eating Ever After!!!!!!!! And many more!!!

Quadruple D, Day 7

This is yet ANOTHER day of fun-filled food and adorable little kids! We will get to the kids in a moment! Today wasn’t another restaurant that I went to, this was a real home cooked meal made  obviously, by the best chef in town… ME! Today, was an extremely interesting day, and it still is… in a way!  I slept in really late while my parents and friends went out to town super early in the morning, and then I watched TV until 3:30 in the afternoon, and then we got started on dinner at about 5.

Now, what I made for dinner was one of my best recipes! I made Ham Tortellini! That amazing, rich, creamy pasta dish! And I have to say that is my favorite recipe ever! The best. We had ( and this is where the little  come into the story!!) my friend’s son came over with his wife and two little girls over for dinner, and I have to say that they are the cutest little family I have ever met! The mom is so sweet, and I really like the dad because he thought that I was 15!!! Yep!! I really like him!!!!!! I had so much fun tonight! And so while the girls were here, I have today that they are the most energetic kids I have ever seen! They wore ALL of us out… especially me, because I love to play with little kids, that I couldn’t resist their adorable little faces! I just had to get in on some of that!!! They were such dolls, but they totally take all your energy away!!! And the parents were great! They loved my meal, and they kept thanking me for it, and saying that it was great, and I really like people who enjoy my meals!!!

I’ve had such the best trip, and I really don’t want to go home, but I think it if I stay any longer away from my own bed, I might cry!!! I hope you guys have enjoyed “taking my trip with me” and really understanding how fun this has been for me! And we have one more thing to do! I think! I think we are going to a restaurant tomorrow, too! I can’t wait!  But I really do hate driving in a car that long… boredom!!!!!!! Anyway, thanks for reading!!!!

Happy Eating!!! 🙂

Quadruple D Day 6

Well well!!! Today was yet another day of heavy eating!!!!!  I went to another place that Guy Fieri went to, and this place was really good!!!! Today on our way out of Atlanta, we went to The Marietta Diner!!!!!! And I have to admit, that I didn’t get to eat as much that I wanted to! The reason is, is that I sometimes get really tired when we go on trips, and sometimes it makes me sick, just that exhausted feeling you get when you do too much, and then not get enough sleep, so yeah, I woke up feeling that way… so sad! BUT!!!!… I didn’t let that stop me from eating at one of the BEST restaurants that I’ve ever been to! I started feeling a little better, so I thought, maybe if I get something a little light, I’ll be fine! So I was looking over the menu, and I found something that seemed really good, and that was the Chicken Caesar Wrap! That thing was the best wrap that I ever had! I’ve had a few wraps, but none are like the one that I had today!!!!  The chicken was really moist, and I like that!!!! And the sauce was really good! Then I took my first bite and I was speechless!!!  Oh! And guess what! The people were REALLY nice!!! Our waitress was really good, and I was like, she must have worked here for a while, and then she tells us that she had worked there for only 2 weeks! They must have some really nice training!!! You know, I think that this was my best trip I’ve had yet! Well, maybe my favorite one was Disney World! I went there in 2004 I think! I love Atlanta! It’s a great place… and super fun!!!! You really need to take your next summer vacation there! I really recommend it!!!!!  It really made my week!!!

Well, today we left Atlanta, and made our way to Greenville to visit our friends and it has been really fun! We had quite a feast too!! We had tortilla chips with a fiesta dip (re-fried beans, guacamole, salsa, and sour cream!), chicken wings, and salad! Then we had an ice cream dish for dessert! It was really good! It had pecans, LOTS of caramel, and then vanilla ice cream! My friend, Mrs. Rackley, didn’t know what it was called, so I said that I could taste it and try to name it!!!! With my first bite, I came up with a name!!!!!! Caramel Madness! She loved that name and she’s going to keep it too!!!! So yeah, I had a pretty good day and  I feel fine now!! YAY!!! I have loved this week so far!!!! A very nice week! And I’m so happy because it’s not over yet! I still have one more day and tomorrow, I’m going to cook diner! YAY!!!!

Happy Eating! 🙂
