Hey, My name is Dana and I’m doing a cooking project. I’ve wanted to be a chef since I was nine and I’m twelve now. I’ve cooked ever since. I get a LOT of time in the kitchen because my mom works 2 nights a week so I get to cook dinner for my brother and me! I’ve been cooking my way through The Pampered Chef dinner cards and it has all kinds of yummy food(that’s my favorite word,YUMMY!). What inspired me most to do a cooking blog is the movie Julie and Julia. I love it, and I love what Julie Powell did. So, my plan is to finish my recipe cards and find a cookbook to cook my way through! I’ve had my eye on a certain one but I’m not sure because I would have to cook lobster, and that’s just not fun, so I’m looking. So as Julia Child says “Bon Appetit!”

This is wonderful for you to do. I will be checking back.
Love U.
i love that your favorite word is YUMMY. i need 2 c “julie and julia” sometime… what is it basically about?it must b very inspirational.well dad says its time 2 go 2 bed c u!
With everything in this world that is bad that a young person could get in to…I think it is great what you are doing. Follow your dreams and God will open doors for you…and maybe have me over for dinner…lol. Keep up stiring in the kitchen!

It will be fun watching you live your dreams and see all the wonderful things that you will accomplish. I will check in often on your blog.

Hi Dana, great job with your blog! You are very good at expressing yourself which doesn’t come easy for many people. Plus you’re getting lots of good web/computer experience. Keep it up!
Dana, I just had lunch with your “G-Ma”, Carolyn Davis, here in Aiken, SC. She told me about your blog and I’m very impressed with it. I hope you don’t mind me following your blog. Very nice business card you have as well.
Thank you Mr. Kim for that very nice comment! Of corse you may follow me! I love having a regular reader, and since I don’t really know you, it’s nice to know that someone like that is reading me! I am so glad that you like it. Maybe sometime when I come to visit G-ma, I can leave you a special treat for her to give to you! Or even better, I can meet you!
Dana/ Junior Chef!
Dana, it looks like Mr. Kim wrote before I have a chance. I’ve just been going through your blog for the last week trying to follow all those great sounding dishes. You are really something and I am so proud of you. Keep up the great work. Don’t let anything interfer with your dream to cook in Paris.
Love,
G-ma
Thanks G-ma! I will never let ANYTHING get in my way of getting on Food Network!

I’ve been looking at all my past blog posts, and I’ve had an amazing time doing this. I just realized that I’ve had like sooo much fun, I can’t believe it’s close to being over. But I wanted to let y’all know that I will still blog, just not out of Get in There and Cook. Just different recipes. Maybe in a year or two I will pick out another cookbook, but after this I’m gonna take a break! This has been stressful at times, but fun at others! Thanks for all my supporters! Love you ALL!!!! You are great!
Dana, your Dad and I had lunch with G-ma, Doug, Christy, and Natalie yesterday. It was a great lunch. We discussed a few ways to monetize your blog if you are willing. It’s wise not to get burned out on it, though, so I hope you get a good rest. It’s a great blog.
I’m glad it was good! Monetize? Sorry, my vocabulary is still growing, and I haven’t learned that word yet! Well, whatever it is, it sounds very professional! Okay, well, I’m sure I’ll be willing, I just need to know what I’m willing to do! I’ll talk to my dad about it. He got home about 45 minutes ago! Talk to you soon!
“Monetize” is one of those words I don’t think even existed til recently. It’s just a way of saying “make money from”. Glad your Dad got home safely. Ways to “monetize” your blog is to put up affiliate links as well as Google Adwords on it so you get paid for each sale of a product someone finds through your blog. Let me see what I can find out. Please let your parents know these ideas and have them put in their own ideas as well. Your Mom has a great blog as well she might be able to make money from.
Okay, cool. Actually, my mom was already planning on doing the link thing, and so I think that will be so cool! I think that’s a great idea! Thanks Mr. Kim! You’ve been a big help!!! I loved all your ideas so far! Like I said, your a big help! Thanks!!!
your website is awesome!
all of your food looks so good
love youuuu! <3
